STANDARDS GUIDE
The manufacture of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is governed by EU Regulation 2016/425.
It defines the design, manufacturing and testing requirements for PPEs to ensure user safety.
<strong class="blue ">CATEGORY 1</strong> <br>(minor risks)<br><br>
<strong class="mb10 bold">No health consequences</strong> <br>Self-certification by the manufacturer and a technical data sheet are sufficient to certify product compliance.
<strong class="blue">CATEGORY 2</strong> <br>(intermediate risks)<br><br>
<strong class="mb10 bold">May cause irreversible effects.</strong> <br>These PPEs are tested for compliance with European standards by an authorised body.
<strong class="blue">CATEGORY 3</strong> <br>(Serious risks)<br><br>
<strong class="mb10 bold">Can lead to death.</strong> <br>In addition to compliance testing, this PPE is subject to compulsory quality control by a notified organisation.
